CHC Healthcare was founded in 2008 by Hospital Corporation of America ("HCA") co-founder Dr. Thomas F. Frist, Jr. and Mr. Charles A. Elcan with a patient-centered vision to improve the quality of healthcare delivery services throughout China in a cost-efficient and value-driven way. CHC works to accomplish this goal through the acquisition and upgrade of existing facilities, the development of Tier 3 replacement hospitals, and various management projects throughout China. With construction underway on CHC International Hospital in Cixi, Zhejiang Province, the Company plans to expand rapidly in China under the leadership of Chairman and CEO of China Operations Dr. Tao Zhang.
